Kate DeCiccio is an Oakland-based artist, educator and creative strategist. Her work focuses on portraiture for counter-narrative, community storytelling, and cultural strategy in the name of abolition and collective liberation.
DeCiccio is the cultural strategist for Statistical Performance, a project that helps youth organizers shut down youth prisons across the country. His collaborations include work with The People's Paper Coop, The Painted Desert Project, 826 National, Critical Resistance, Survived and Punished, Planting Justice and Dear Frontline. She was commissioned by the Amplifier Foundation to create works on behalf of The Women's March, The Science March and March For Our Lives.
